Weblust: Desktop Publishing

Books by Frederic E. Davis

Desktop Publishing
--by Frederic E. Davis, John Barry, and Michael Wiesenberg.

This was the first book on Desktop Publishing and was based on my Ph.D. thesis on computer-assisted publishing that I was working on from 1980-83 in conjunction with the TeX and Metafont programs developed at Stanford by Don Knuth. This book was typeset completely using TeX, a sort of precursor to PostScript.

"More than a how-to book, Desktop Publishing gives you the
perspective of a publishing pro. Good stuff."
--John Dvorak
